Day 4 of the WPT Bellagio Cup VI in Las Vegas is now absolute, with Phil Ivey of Full Tilt managing to secure for himself a record breaking ninth appearance at a WPT final table.
Day 3 of the Referral Code Full Tilt competition saw 36 players decide to join the fray, including Daniel Negreanu, Chris Ferguson, Phil Hellmuth, Tom Dwan, Erik Seidel, John Hennigan, Greg Mueller, Andy Bloch and Phil Ivey.
Dissimilar from his fellow late registrants, Phil Ivey not only survived the initial onslaught with his 20BB starting stack but managed a few vital double ups, including hitting a set of 8’s on the flop against his opponent’s pocket Q’s, to finish Day 3 in 8th place with an impressive 568k chip count.
By the end of Day 4, Ivey had gone on to further secure his Full Tilt Poker Bonus Code grip on the tournament, eventually booking for himself a spot at the six man final table.
